President Trump to Sign Executive Order Protecting Women’s Sports from Biological Men

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order aimed at preserving fairness in women’s sports by prohibiting biological men from competing in women’s athletic events. The order, confirmed by OutKick on Tuesday, will be signed on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, a day dedicated to celebrating female athletes and those advocating for equal opportunities in sports.

During his presidential campaign, Trump made the issue of fairness in women’s sports a central focus, pledging to protect the integrity of female athletic competitions. This move came in response to growing concerns about the participation of transgender women (biological men who identify as women) in women’s sports.

Earlier this year, a federal judge ruled against the Biden administration’s attempt to redefine sex under Title IX to include “gender identity.” In response, the Trump administration’s Department of Education reaffirmed that Title IX protections would continue to apply based on biological sex, a stance the former president emphasized in December. At the time, Trump stated his commitment to ending what he termed the “transgender lunacy,” ensuring that men would not be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

Speaking at a convention in Arizona, Trump declared, “Under the Trump administration, it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders—male and female. It doesn’t sound too complicated. Does it?”

Trump also reaffirmed his position during his Republican nomination acceptance speech in July, promising, “We will not have men playing in women’s sports. That will end immediately.”

His views on this issue have been widely discussed, including an appearance on Barstool Sports’ “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast, where he called the inclusion of transgender athletes in women’s sports “ridiculous.”

The upcoming executive order marks another step in Trump’s ongoing efforts to address what he perceives as unfair advantages created by the participation of biological men in women’s sports.
