Murder Suspect in Fatal Dallas Shooting Turns Himself In

DALLAS – A man sought in connection with the fatal shooting of 58-year-old Christopher Simms has surrendered to authorities, Dallas Police confirmed.

Simms was killed on March 27 in the 2600 block of Frankford Road. Officers responded to reports of a shooting just before 1 p.m. and found Simms suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following a three-week investigation, detectives identified 54-year-old Simuel Norice as the primary suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On April 19, 2025, Norice voluntarily turned himself in to Dallas Police. He is now in custody and will face a charge of murder.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities have not yet released details regarding a possible motive or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
