Fort Worth Police Officers Shoot Man During Domestic Disturbance Call

Police were responding to a call of a man shooting a firearm inside his home.

A man was hospitalized Thursday night following a shooting involving Fort Worth police officers who were responding to a domestic disturbance call. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of Seafield Lane, where officers were alerted to reports of a man who was intoxicated and discharging a firearm inside his residence. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the individual and heard multiple gunshots coming from within the home. The man then emerged from the house, firing at the officers, who returned fire and struck him. Emergency responders provided immediate aid, and he was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he is currently in critical condition. Fortunately, no officers were injured during the altercation. The Fort Worth Police Department has notified its major case unit to conduct an investigation into the shooting.
