Hurst, Texas — A suspect led Fort Worth police on a chase Monday evening, which ended in Hurst where authorities discovered a woman’s body inside the suspect’s residence, a police spokesperson confirmed.
The incident began around 6:14 p.m. when Fort Worth police received a call from a residence on the 6300 block of Stockton Drive, near Chisolm Trail Parkway. The caller reported that the suspect had arrived at his home, claiming he believed he had “harmed” his female roommate, according to Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD).
As officers were en route to the Stockton Drive address, they spotted the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a pursuit. The chase lasted approximately 38 minutes and concluded at 7:52 p.m. near the Lowe’s Home Improvement on Grapevine Highway in Hurst. Police deployed a taser and apprehended the suspect.
Meanwhile, FWPD officers conducted a search of the suspect’s home in the 700 block of Ipswich Avenue, near Highway 287 in northern Fort Worth. Inside, they found a woman who was later confirmed to be deceased. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Ariel Levy by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office.
While FWPD is investigating the incident, they have not yet released the cause of death. Homicide detectives are handling the case. The suspect’s identity will be withheld until he is formally booked into jail, according to officials.
