MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Mesquite school district has broken ground on it’s newest middle school. It will be named after Lanny Frasier, who has served the Mesquite ISD for over 40 years in various roles from teaching, to becoming a deputy superintendent.
Mesquite ISD Superintendent Dr. David Vroonland says it’s an honor to recognize Lanny as the namesake of the new building, going on to say that it’s a great landmark addition to the area, as other school’s have recently been built or renovated.
The school will be built near Interstate 635 and Military Parkway, right next to Mesquite’s Memorial Stadium. It’s expected to be completed by the beginning of the 2018 school year.
