Good things come to those who wait. Someone said that once and it caught on but perhaps at the age of 31 I have yet to buy into that. Waiting isn’t fun. Not even when it is for Godot.
For three years now I have come and gone from the WBAP/KLIF studios which are located in Victory Park across from the W Hotel.
Nice place if you ask me.
But then comes construction and renovation and “SLOW” signs and new stop lights and a no left turn sign out of a parking garage that no one seems to have either noticed or bothered to follow. Side note: Where is the law enforcement on that?
Anyway, I’m reminded back to a Dallas City Council meeting when concerned City Councilman Scott Griggs railed (Pardon the pun) against the snail’s pace that is adding a streetcar to the closed Houston Street Viaduct connecting Oak Cliff to Downtown Dallas.
That is where my blood pressure level is approaching. The City Councilman Scott Griggs Mad at the Slowness That Is Houston Street Viaduct Construction Speed Level. …and such.
With that said, and having yet to be hit by a car while crossing the new crosswalk (Thanks for the new crosswalk, by the way), I am very much looking forward to this ongoing project to be complete. Not just because I will be able to use the entrance into and out of the parking lot I have been asked to use… that is temporarily closed today for whatever reason, but because if the renderings are something to behold, it is going to look fantastic.
