FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Frisco Independent School District meets Monday to work on some of the problems associated with being one of Texas’ fastest growing areas.
The board will be voting on a proposal to help balance its budget by delaying the openings of four new schools.
Members say they’re caught between the ever increasing demand caused by a rapidly growing population, and reduced funding from the state combined with the voters’ decision in August not to increase the property tax rate.
The board will also begin working on a proposal to freeze school district salaries, but a decision on that is not expected for several months.
