DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) The historic Dallas High School in downtown will reopen next year. But it won’t be accepting students. The landmark building at Pearl and Bryan streets will open as offices and retail space, according to the Dallas Morning News. After it first opened in 1907, Dallas High School went through several name changes before it closed in 1995. A commercial real estate firm bought the building last year and is spending more than $50M to renovate it. It is also asking for more than 6-million in tax funding to help pay to fix up the school. Dallas City Council will vote on the funds next week.
