DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News)  The mayor of Dallas wants to hear what you have to say about the future of Fair Park. The city is trying to think of a way to turn it into a venue that’s usable year-round, rather than just the 3 weeks in fall when the fair is open. Last month, a lot of ideas were being tossed around – turning the parking lots into green park areas and converting the buildings into office spaces. Fair officials briefly tried what it called “Summer Adventures” and opened rides to thrill seekers as an alternative to Six Flags. But it wasn’t enough of a draw with Hurricane Harbor just a few miles away. If you want to sound off with any ideas, call the city secretary’s office before 3 pm on Monday. The number is (214) 670-3738.
