For many people who call the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex home, so many came to the area for elsewhere. I am one of those people.
That said, I look forward tomorrow to head back to see the family as we celebrate the holidays a little earlier than everyone else. It is all about schedules and fares and what is the most convenient for everyone.
My daughter, now 11, loves this time of year. I remember when I was her age and I would wake my parents as early as 5:00am to start the unwrapping process.
The holidays though can become difficult for many with the added stress of shopping and wanting to please everyone. Of course, we are all entering that horrible time of year when temperatures are no where near 70 degrees.
So, as I start my holiday celebrating a little earlier than most – which will include a break from the afternoon microphone until mid next week – I wish everyone a great season of celebrating with friends and family.
