
(WBAP/KLIF) – IRVING, TX – The thunderstorms that rolled through the DFW area early Tuesday morning caused significant damage when an E-F-1 tornado touched down in Irving. According to the National Weather Service, the tornado had maximum wind speeds of 110 miles per hour, and traveled less than half a mile. More than 350 residents were displaced after the tornado damaged at least two apartment complexes, and left thousands without power which created an additional hardship for displaced residents. No injuries were reported.
