Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth, R-Cold Spring, told Newsmax on Wednesday that with a slim majority, “Republicans are in charge in the House of Representatives, and we are here to lead.”
Although the GOP holds a razor thing 67-66 advantage in the Minnesota House of Representatives, Republicans hold a 5 to 3 majority in the fraud prevention and agency oversight committee. Demuth noted that “Republicans have won this fight.”
“We know that voters wanted Republicans in charge in the House of Representatives, and we are here to lead. We look forward to working alongside of our Democrat colleagues, but we are in a position of authority and leadership, and we will fully exercise that for the betterment of Minnesota,” Demuth said during an appearance on “The Chris Salcedo Show.”
