In January, half of the CosMc’s locations in Texas closed.

ALLEN, Texas — McDonald’s is set to open another beverage-focused CosMc’s location in North Texas, marking the seventh in the state and the fifth in the DFW Metroplex since the brand’s debut in 2024.
However, three of the seven Texas locations are already slated to close, the fast-food chain revealed on January 9, according to the Dallas Business Journal. CosMc’s first opened in DFW in March 2024, with a location on Preston Road in North Dallas. Since then, additional spots have been launched in Watauga, Arlington, and Fort Worth.
There are also two CosMc’s in San Antonio.
McDonald’s has not disclosed which three Texas locations will be closing.
The CosMc’s menu highlights beverages like coffee, lemonades, tea, slushies, and energy drinks, alongside some food options such as McDonald’s Egg McMuffin, M&M McFlurry, and snack-sized items.
The new CosMc’s in Allen will open on Saturday, February 15, at 861 W. Stacy Road, next to Crumbl and MOD Pizza. It will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
To mark the opening, the Allen location will introduce new churro-flavored beverages, including churro cold brew, churro latte, and churro shaken espresso.
