DALLAS – Several highways in Dallas are shut down Thursday morning as crews work to remove hazardous black ice that has created treacherous driving conditions.

Authorities closed the roadways following multiple crashes, citing safety concerns for drivers. As of the latest update at 6:16 a.m., the following highways remain closed:

Current Closures:

  • Northbound Spur 408 – From Kiest Boulevard to Illinois Avenue
  • Northbound I-35E – At Kiest Boulevard
  • Loop 12 Walton Walker – At Northwest Highway
