H-E-B Celebrates 120 Years in Texas with Yearlong Free Grocery Giveaway

TEXAS – As H-E-B marks an impressive 120 years of serving Texas communities, the beloved grocery chain is giving back in a big way—by awarding a full year of free groceries to 120 lucky customers.

The San Antonio-based retailer unveiled the sweepstakes during its Super Bowl commercial, “Lots to Love,” featuring a song by country artist and Amarillo native Aaron Watson.

How to Enter

From Monday, February 10, to Monday, June 9, customers have a daily opportunity to enter the giveaway. Each day, one winner will be randomly selected, totaling 120 winners by the end of the promotion.

H-E-B customers can enter using the same barcode they use for coupons and offers within the My H-E-B mobile app. To participate:

  1. Download the My H-E-B app (available on iOS and Android).
  2. Create an account to access your unique barcode.
  3. Scan your barcode at checkout to receive an automatic entry.

Additionally, participants may enter via mail-in submissions. Customers are limited to one entry per day, and H-E-B Partners, along with their immediate family members, are not eligible to win. Winners will be notified via email.
