It has been 14 years since the Packers and Steelers met at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, a memorable Super Bowl marked by a historic ice and snowstorm that disrupted travel, events, and the overall enthusiasm of the week.

A Call for a Return:

Arlington Mayor Jim Ross believes the city is more than ready for another Super Bowl. He emphasizes how Arlington’s entertainment district, alongside its proven ability to host major events seamlessly, has only grown stronger in recent years.

“We’re experts at hosting these big events, and we’re ready to bring the Super Bowl back,” Ross said. “Arlington has successfully hosted everything from the World Cup to the World Series, the Grand Prix of Arlington, Taylor Swift concerts, and WWE events. We excel at delivering memorable experiences, and another Super Bowl would be the perfect ‘icing on the cake.’”

Local Support for a Super Bowl Return:

Locals, too, are eager for the big game’s return. At J. Gilligan’s, a popular Arlington restaurant and bar, fans gathered to watch this year’s Super Bowl in New Orleans. Owner Randy Ford shared his enthusiasm for bringing the event back to Arlington, highlighting the city’s impressive facilities.

“I believe it’s time for Arlington to host another Super Bowl,” Ford said. “The stadium is top-notch, and the NFL should seriously consider bringing the game back here. Arlington is ready.”
