Victim Identified In Road Rage Shooting, Fort Worth Police Say

FORT WORTH, Texas — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal road rage incident, police confirmed.

At around 6:40 p.m. on January 27, officers responded to reports of a traffic hazard near East Loop 820 and Meadowbrook Drive, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, a man with a gunshot wound, inside a gray vehicle. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Ricky Langs by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, FWPD said.

Traffic cameras revealed significant delays as officers worked to investigate what they believe to be a road rage-related incident.
