FRISCO, Texas – A new chapter in Frisco’s development story begins Thursday as construction kicks off on The Mix, a sprawling $3 billion project poised to redefine the area near Dallas Parkway and Lebanon Road.
Spanning 112 acres, The Mix promises to transform what was once an undeveloped eyesore into a vibrant hub of activity. Originally slated for development years ago, the site sat dormant—until now. With new developers at the helm, the first phase of construction will focus on 28 acres, setting the stage for an ambitious vision.
The project will feature a dynamic blend of spaces, including retail and office areas, a high-end grocery store, two luxury hotels, a state-of-the-art medical office, urban living units, and a portion of a central park that will serve as the development’s centerpiece. The official groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday.
A City on the Rise
Frisco, one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, has seen its population surge by an astonishing 500% over the past two decades. This explosive growth is driving an unprecedented wave of development, with The Mix being just one of several transformative projects on the horizon.
The city is already home to notable attractions such as The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ world-class practice facility. Looking ahead, Frisco’s skyline is set to evolve further with two major projects:
- Fields West, an upscale destination featuring high-end retail, restaurants, and luxury residences, is slated to debut in late 2026.
- Firefly Park, a mixed-use development at Highway 380 and the tollway, will boast 40 acres of scenic trails alongside its retail and residential offerings.
As Frisco continues to grow and attract new investments, projects like The Mix signal a bright and prosperous future for the city.
