Explosion And Fire At Ft Worth Power Substation

(WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth – First responders worked a fire following an explosion at a power substation in North Fort Worth. It happened off Seventeen Lakes Boulevard and Henrietta Creek road around 7:15 p.m.

Craig Trojacek with the Fort worth Fire department said they are evaluating the scene and may let the fire burn itself out due to oil in the are that could cause a hazmat problem if water is put on the fire.

Power has been restored to the customers who were affected by the fire. Foul play is not believed to be the cause.
