An Israeli Strike in Beirut Kills Hezbollah’s Spokesman, While a Strike in Gaza Kills at Least 30

BEIRUT (AP) — A rare Israeli strike in central Beirut has killed the chief spokesman for the Hezbollah militant group. It was the latest in targeted killings of senior Hezbollah officials. Another strike hit central Beirut on Sunday night, and Lebanon’s Health Ministry says two people were killed. The strikes occurred as Lebanese officials considered a United States-led proposal for a cease-fire in the war. In northern Gaza, a hospital director told The Associated Press that an Israeli strike in Beit Lahiya killed at least 30 people. More are believed to be under the rubble.
