FRISCO: Chemical Fire; SHELTER IN PLACE!

UPDATE; 11:15AM; Fire officials have lifted the “shelter in place” order in Frisco resulting from the chemical fire at the Texas Pool Supply Warehouse; the fire is out, and Public Information Officer Kelli Kistner reports fire fighting foam was mopped up in a manner to ensure it would not run off to contaminate water supplies. Little Elm Fire officials were on scene assisting Frisco; Kistner says the fire departments from Prosper, Plano, McKinney and The Colony arrived to staff Frisco’s fire stations to ensure residents experiencing other issues would be fully served.

UPDATE: 9:45AM; Fire officials now confirm this chemical fire is a THREE ALARM CHEMICAL FIRE, ordering area residents and business employees to SHELTER IN PLACE until these orders are lifted. Public information officers confirm firefighters do not know what type of chemicals are burning/they are working with; smoke and fire can be seen for miles. Again, SHELTER IN PLACE if in the area bordered by Research Road to the north, Page Street to the south, railroad tracks to the east, and the Dallas North Tollway to the west

FRISCO- (WBAP/KLIF) – SHELTER IN PLACE NOW if you live in Frisco with a chemical fire burning at teh Texas Pool Supply warehouse in the industrial park area just off the Dallas North Tollway near Eldorado Parkway .

City of Frisco official Kelly Kisner tells WBAP/KLIF News the fire was listed as a two-alarm burn in the 8 am hour. Flames can be seen high in the sky.

SHELTER IN PLACE if you live in an area bordered by Research Road to the north, Page Street to the south, railroad tracks to the east, and the Dallas North Tollway to the west.

Again, Frisco officials calling for all those within those boundaries of Frisco just off the tollway to SHELTER IN PLACE as this chemical fire burns.
