TxDot is in the Process of Transitioning Away From TxTag

(WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Department of Transportation is officially ending the TxTag, and handing tolling and billing services over to the Harris County Toll Road Authority. Even though the current contract expires at the end of February, the state’s transportation commission still has to sign off on this change before it becomes official.

TxDot is asking existing TxTag customers to log into their accounts by October 15th to make sure that all bills are paid and that their information is updated so it can be moved over to the new agency. All accounts that haven’t been used in the past 12 months are considered inactive, and won’t be moved over to the new system.
