Ruling In; Judge Rules Against Gun Carries At State Fair of Texas, Denying State AG Paxton’s Injunction

DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF) – The ruling now in; a Dallas judge denying Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s injunction seeking to stop the City of Dallas from it’s decision to deny gun permit-carrying attendees of the Texas State Fair the ability to carry weapons in to the fairgrounds.

The State Fair of Texas will allow current and former peace officers to carry a firearm, but not others, despite the otherwise statewide legal ability to carry them through much of the state of Texas.

The City of Dallas voted against widespread gun carries at the Fair, which begins September 27th, following gun violence at that venue last year.

No word yet if Attorney General Ken Paxton will appeal this ruling from Judge Emily Tobolowsky of the 298th District Court, again, denying the injunction filed last month by the office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton
