MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Authorities are looking into the cause of a deadly plane crash in McKinney Thursday morning.
Two people were killed and another person is in critical condition at Parkland Hospital in Dallas after the plane plummeted into a mound of dirt a few minutes after taking off from McKinney National Airport.
The crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. near County Road 317, just south of the airport.
FAA records show the plane is a 1980 twin-engine Cessna 414A owned by Hunger Relief Ministries in Forney. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the NTSB are investigating.
