FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Fort Worth police are investigating a deadly shooting that led to a car crashing into a home Thursday night.
According to a press release, officers were called to a shooting in the 7200 block of Silver City Drive, near Eagle Mountain Lake around 11:20 p.m.
Investigators say the situation started with a fight in a neighborhood near Tin Star Drive before the shots were fired.
The victim tried unsuccessfully to get away in a vehicle before it crashed into the house. The unidentified victim died at the scene.
Police said one other person in the victim’s car was taken to the hospital for treatment. Two others escaped unharmed.
It’s unclear if anyone inside the house suffered injuries.
A suspect is in custody. However, police have not released any details about the suspect’s identity or any charges at this time.
