AMBER Alert: Dallas County Child and Father Still Missing, Mother Found Dead

UPDATE: 11.17.2023 9:30 am – Police now say the suspect’s abandoned vehicle he’d believed to have driven with his still-missing son Ian was located abandoned near a bus stop or station on Airline Road in Houston. Reports indicate a bus line at that area provides service to Mexico; it’s feared the suspect and his son may have taken a transport to Mexico as the search continues.  

WILMER (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A murder investigation has been tied to an active Amber Alert involving a 10-year-old old boy out of Wilmer, about 15 miles southeast of Dallas.

Authorities said Wednesday Ian Aguilar’s mother has been found dead and he and his father, 38-year-old Juan Aguilar-Cano, is the lead suspect in the child’s disappearance and the mother’s death.

Officials believe the killing occurred before Ian vanished Tuesday morning. The child was last seen around 7:30 a.m. in the 20 block of Oakdale Street in Wilmer, just east of Highway 45.

Investigators said that’s the same address where they found Aguilar’s mother’s body.

The 2007 Chevy Tahoe with Texas license plate number KVZ1194 the two were believed to be in was found abandoned at a Houston bus station.

Aguilar-Cano has a criminal record and the child is believed to be in grave and immediate danger.

Ian Aguilar is 4 feet tall with black hair and brown eyes.

Aguilar-Cano is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
