Witnesses in Methodist Dallas Hospital Shooting Testify

(WBAP/KLIF) — A Dallas jury hearing testimony in the trial of 31-year-old year old man who is accused of gunning down two Methodist Dallas Medical Center workers last October.

Methodist Police Officer Robert Rangel says he confronted Nestor Hernandez after the gunman had already shot two women. Hernandez eventually threw out his weapon and officers provided life-saving measures to the gunman. The 31-year-old faces a mandatory life in prison if convicted of fatally shooting Methodist Dallas employees Jaqueline Pokuaa and Katie Annette Flowers. testimony in the trial continues Wednesday in Dallas.

Methodist nurse Stacy Smith witnessed the shooting and testified what she saw the gunman shoot across the hallway in the direction of Flowers, after Hernandez allegedly pistol whipped his girlfriend. Testimony in the trial resumes at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.
