Garland Police Arrest Suspected Dealer After Three Teen Girls Overdose on Fentanyl

GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Garland police made an arrest in connection to the overdoses of three teen girls who bought fentanyl pills from the same dealer earlier this week.

First responders were called to the TGI Fridays and AMC movie theater on Coneflower Drive near the Firewheel Town Center on Tuesday at 4:50 p.m..

Each teen received a Narcan dose before they were rushed to a local hospital where they are now recovering.

Investigators identified 19-year-old Erik Santos as the person who allegedly sold the pills to the girls. He’s charged with three felony counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the public about a sharp nationwide increase in the lethality of fentanyl-laced pills.

The warning comes amid a push to increase awareness and decrease demand for fentanyl nationwide.
