Plano, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Morning commuters on I-75 northbound near Parker Road have been sitting in traffic since a crash around 5AM involving a car and an 18-wheeler that triggered a massive fire.
WFAA’S Mike Forbes was on the scene shortly after the accident around 5:00AM. He reported that firefighters attempted to put out the blaze but quickly pulled back and are letting it burn out.
Traffic around I-75 near Parker Road is expcted to be tied up for hours.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
Plano Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to return to Plano and give a written statement. The department phone number is 972-424-5678.
