Suspect Arrested in Fort Worth Shootout That Injured Five

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Fort Worth police arrested and charged a man in connection to a shootout that injured five people earlier this week.

24-year-old Angel Salas is jailed on four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He’s being held on a $250,000 bond.

Investigators said the shooting between Salas and at least one other unidentified person was sparked by a large fight at a home on Christine Avenue near Titus Paulsel Park Monday night.

Officers found three people suffering gunshot wounds in the house. One person was hit in the back, one in the head and another in the thigh.

A couple at a house on Knox Street suffered injuries and told police their car was hit by stray bullets as they drove away from the chaotic scene in their car.

The woman was shot in her ankle and the man’s hand was injured from a possible gunshot wound or flying glass.

None of the injuries are said to be life-threatening.

The Fort Worth Police Gang Unit is investigating the incident.
