LISTEN: Allen Heals, Remembers Mass Shooting Victims a Week Later

ALLEN (WBAP/KLIF) – A week after Police say the shooter targeted Allen Premium Outlets because of how crowded it was, a community comes together to remember the victims and move forward together.

A moment of silence was held by the DFW Hospital Council on Friday to acknowledge the injured victims. 7 people were hospitalized in the mass shooting. The City of Allen announced another moment of silence planed for Saturday afternoon, to mark a week since the tragedy occurred.

In addition to moments of silence, there are more vigils and services planned. The outlet mall itself doesn’t plan to reopen until that process is finished.

The city is also offering opportunities for resident t get help, if needed.
