Early Voting Underway in May 6th Elections

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Some North Texans are casting ballots this week in the May 6 municipal elections. Early Voting opened on Monday.

“These are important elections,” said Collin County Election Administrator, Bruce Sherbet. “These are the issues that a lot of times really matter to every day citizens.”

But, Sherbet expects a typical may voting turnout of about 10% to 15% of registered voters.

Notable elections include city bond proposals in Richardson and Arlington. Mayoral races are on the ballot in Irving, Frisco, Arlington, Fort Worth and Dallas where Mayor Eric Johnson runs unopposed.

Early voting runs through Saturday. Election day is Tuesday.
