Pantego, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – An over 15-hour SWAT situation in the town of Pantego, just outside Arlington has ended. The suspect was taken into custody just before 9 this morning.
According to reports from our media partner WFAA-TV, police attempted to serve a mental health warrant on a 77-year old woman yesterday afternoon around 4:30, when a gun was displayed from inside the home on Grant Place. One of the law enforcement officers on the scene fired his weapon, triggering the standoff.

Pantego, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Residents have been evacuated in the Arlington town of Pantego as a police standoff continues at a home on Grant street, It started around 4:20 Thursday afternoon when authorities attempted to execute a warrant. There are conflicting reports who brandished a gun inside the home prompting one law enforcement officer to fire his service weapon.
Pantego and Arlington police, SWAT and Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies are on the scene.
