(WBAP/KLIF) — One North Texas police department is closing its doors. Lewisville Police will no longer be found at their Main Street headquarters as the department is moving computers, phones, and other equipment to the temporary headquarters across town.
Lewisville City’s Matt Martusi says they’re building a new headquarters on main street and police services won’t miss a beat. The closing of the department’s headquarters is to facilitate the construction of a new headquarters.
The temporary move is for approximately 18 months to enable construction of a new 116,000 square foot police and fire department headquarters near the corner of main street and valley parkway. The new Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center is expected to be completed in late 2024.
