(WBAP/KLIF) — A Collin County sexual predator is taken off the streets. 40-year-old Cedric Johnson was arrested by Wylie police after being accused of sexually assaulting a middle school student multiple times.
A Wylie middle school counselor and resource officer are credited with helping to get a sexual predator off the streets. A young girl recently reported being sexually assaulted multiple times by a family acquaintance. Wylie Police Sargeant Donald English says the victim provided a description of Johnson, who police found with another potential victim. Patrol officers caught the suspect at a local convenience store parking lot with another potential victim in his car.
Police believe the 40-year-old has abused several middle-school age children. Johnson is a family friend of the victim and is currently being held in the Collin County Jail on sexual assault of a child charges. Police credit a combined effort between school officials, police, and the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center for putting a sexual predator behind bars.
