(CNN)- (WBAP/KLIF)- For the fourth time, a high altitude unidentified flying object has been shot down; this time over or near Lake Huron. Two prior were shot down, one each on Friday near Alaska, and Saturday, by forces after one crossed over Canadian air space; Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ordering the shoot down.
No description of this “object” has been released or discussed – at this point – by the White House. A series of alarms were triggered by the shooting down of what the White House alleged was likely a spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina, after crossing the bulk of the United States, including flyovers of America’s strategic nuclear defense areas.
“Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan said Sunday that the operation to down the object over Lake Huron was carried out by pilots from the US Air Force and the National Guard.
Earlier Sunday, the Federal Aviation Administration had briefly restricted some airspace over Lake Michigan near Wisconsin for “national defense airspace.” Neither the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) nor the FAA said whether an object had been detected over Lake Michigan during the operation.
Airspace was also briefly closed over Montana on Saturday evening before being quickly reopened after a radar anomaly prompted a jet to investigate before the all-clear was given.”
