(WBAP/KLIF) — Potentially hazardous driving conditions could hit areas of North Texas. As rain, snow, sleet and freezing temperatures are in the forecast for counties North and West of the Metroplex, those in charge of Texas roadways are ramping up safety efforts.
According to TXDOT’s Bethany Kurtz, white stripes are appearing on roads within the Fort Worth Division. Kurtz says crews are treating roadways in counties north and west of the Metroplex and are on full alert with their top priority focusing onkeeping roadways free of snow, slush, and ice. TXDOT is also warning motorists to change their driving habits as the weather hits.
Kurtz reminds texas drivers to protect against potentially hazardous road conditions by slowing down, increasing your following distance. and putting your cell phone down.
