(WBAP/KLIF) Dallas – A new shopping center is coming to the Northwest corner of Walnut Hill and Marsh Lane to replace the one destroyed by the October 2019 tornado that did an estimated 1.5 billion in damage in North Dallas.
Hopkins Realty has installed a sign announcing the new center is coming soon and is scheduled to include Texas Health Resources, Jakes Burgers, Con Madre Kitchen, dentists offices as well as other businesses.
After the tornado, all but one building was torn down and the property has been a large fenced in open concrete area for some time. That EF-3 tornado was reported as the costliest tornado event in Texas history. That storm also badly damaged Thomas Jefferson High School that just recently re-opened with a new state of the art campus.
