Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas police searching for the driver that struck a motorcyclist dragging him nearly a block away along Cedar Springs Road overnight around midnight.
When police arrived police spotted the motorcycle at the corner of Crestline and Cedar Springs. According to WFAA’s Mike Forbes, witnesses said they saw a man running from his vehicle about a block away.
The motorcyclist had been dragged underneath the car for about a block. He is hospitalized in stable condition.
The alleged driver left his vehicle at the scene and ran off. The investigation is ongoing.
Meantime, in Cedar Hill Wednesday evening, police say a motorcyclist was shot to death at the intersection of Bear Creek Road and Duncanville Road by a driver who exited his vehicle, opened fire and took off. The alleged gunman is still at large.
At 5:23pm Wednesday police responded to a shooting where they found a motorcyclist with a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities say the suspected shooter pulled up to the intersection near the motorcyclist, exited the vehicle, and fired at least one shot, hitting the man. The suspect then fled the area in an unknown vehicle.
“We are asking anyone with security cameras along Bear Creek between Joe Wilson and Duncanville Rd to contact us so we may review the video footage. Anyone with information is urged to call the Cedar Hill Police Department at 972-291-5181,” says the Cedar Hill PD.
