UPDATE 10:52 a.m.: The Denton County Sheriff’s Office said Prudence Dodd has been found safe.
DENTON (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The Denton County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help in the search for a missing elderly woman whose family said vanished during a planned trip to Waco.
According to investigators, 81-year-old Prudence Dodd was at her sister’s house in Justin on Tuesday around 1 p.m.
She left the residence to visit her son in Waco but never made it. She was last seen traveling northbound on Highway 287 in Alvord around 3:30 p.m.
Dodd, who was recently diagnosed with onset dementia, is 5’2″ tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She was wearing a black dress and gray cardigan.
Her family said she needs her insulin but doesn’t have her medication. She also suffers from neuropathy in her feet and needs a walker.
Dodd was driving a grey 2016 Dodge Caravan with Texas license plate KYZ6468.
