Dallas Fire Rescue Battles 2 Fires at Vacant hotels Occupied by ‘multiple homeless people’

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Fire Rescue battled two fires within four hours last night at vacant hotel buildings occupied by multiple homeless people.

DFR spokesman Jason Evans says that 100 firefighters battled a 3-alarm blaze overnight around 1:30am at a vacant 13-story building on the North Stemmons Freeway where flames were shooting from the 2nd through 5th floors.

Several homeless people were escorted from the building. no one was injured.

Meantime, one homeless person was taken to a hospital earlier in the night as the result of a fire in an adjacent building on West Mockingbird Lane.
