Prosper, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Calls for Prosper ISD Superintendent Holly Ferguson to step down amid allegations that the district swept child sexual assault allegations against a former bus driver under the rug.
At a board meeting Monday, parents were outraged that they did not know about the May arrest of former bus driver Frank Paniagua, who was accused of sexually assaulting two grade school sisters all of last school year. He was arrested in May and fired from the district when allegation came to light.
He died after a suicide attempt while in custody at the Collin County lockup.
This parent referring to him as “Mr Frank:”
“I knew ‘Mr Frank well. I got may son off the bus every single day. I put him on the bus every single day. I felt like I knew Mr Frank.”
Another parent said, “You think you can sweep this under the rug/ If you people are cowards and stand up for these children, leave.”
District parents became award of the allegations shen the parents of the two young girls filed a lawsuit last week. The suit alleges that the abuse happened all of last school year and that was at time captured on surveillance video.
