DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The metroplex was hammered with rain overnight into Monday morning, leading to hundreds of water related calls.
First responders across the metroplex worked through the early morning hours responding to water related calls and accidents.
According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, the department responded to 154 high-water incidents, 39 water rescues, and various crashes.
It was a similar scene in Fort Worth.
Some areas, to include Balch Springs and parts of East Dallas were drenched with more than 10 inches of rain in less than 12 hours.
Some vehicles were stuck for hours while first responders worked through treacherous conditions themselves.
Rain and high water are expected to linger through the end of the day on Monday.
