DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – For the past several years, it’d be a rare thing to attend a George Strait concert, with the Texas superstar keeping appearances only to a special event here and there. But Strait is coming to Dickies Arena on Friday and Saturday nights, November 18 and 19, with tickets going on sale May 13 at 10 am.
Strait was slated to play at the opening of Austin’s new Moody Center along with Willie Nelson, and he did play at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo back in March, but his touring has been otherwise limited for several years.
Born in Poteet Texas south of San Antonio, Strait is a Texas-own music legend referred to as the “King of Country”, considered one of the most influential and popular recording artists of all time. He’s sold more than 100 million records around the world, making him one of the best selling artists of all time with a multitude of multi-platinum, platinum and gold albums.
