(CBC, Associated Press, Toronto Star) WBAP/KLIF – A third border crossing between Canada and the United States is now blocked by Canada’s “Freedom Convoy”; truckers protesting Canada’s vaccine mandates and pandemic shutdowns.
No traffic is reported moving at Emerson now, between North Dakota and Manitoba, adding to another between Montana and Alberta. The ongoing shutdown of the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Windsor is sorely affecting the automobile industries in both nations, with a slowdown of almost a half million dollars in goods reported daily at the Michigan/Ontario bridge port of entry.
The White House is urging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to end the protest, but truckers are reported to be planning a Los Angeles to Washington D C run starting in LA about the time of the Superbowl. Homeland Security is sounding the alarm and readying for a possible protest shutdown in the LA area.
