(DALLAS; WBAP/KLIF) – Funeral services for a Euless police officer killed in a suspected drunk driving crash Thanksgiving weekend are being held in Keller today. Detective Alex Cervantes was killed in collision at an intersection in which officials believe a drunken suspect ran a red light. His wife was hospitalized for more than a month; much of that time in a coma. His two sons were also injured in the crash.
The crash in Lake Worth left Cervantes’ wife in critical condition. 26 year old Dylan Molina faces several serious charges; police indicate they believe Molina was intoxicated well beyond legal limits for driving in Texas, ran a red light and smashed into the Cervantes family vehicle.
