(WBAP/KLIF) — The Dallas Stars are not immune to COVID-19 cancellations. The Stars’ next two games have been postponed until a future date due to COVID-related concerns.
The National Hockey League issued a statement, Monday, announcing the postponement of three upcoming games on its league-wide schedule. This week’s home and home series between the Stars and the Colorado Avalanche (December 29th & 31st) will now be rescheduled to later in the season.
With so many NHL and AHL players in protocol and unavailable, the league made the call to postpone all remaining holiday hockey games. On Sunday, Dallas placed five players into COVID protocol, raising the number of COVID-ineligible players to eight.
For the time being, the Dallas Star’s next game will arrive on January 2nd, when the team travels west to face off against the Arizona Coyotes.
