Plano Council Approves Name Changes for City Buildings and Park

PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) – Plano City Council members, on Monday, unanimously approved new names for three City Buildings to honor three long-time dedicated civil servants.

The Gerald P. Cosgrove Public Works Service Center, formerly the Parkway Service Center, honors the legacy left by the beloved late Director of Public Works Jerry Cosgrove.  

The Gregory W. Rushin Police Substation, formerly the Northwest Police Substation, is a tribute to retiring Deputy City Manager and long-time Police Chief Greg Rushin. 

The Adrian Magallanes Day Labor Center, honors the service and care provided by our late 2011 Employee of the Year, Adrian Magallanes. 

Additionally, the small pocket park on the southeast corner of 15 Street and K Avenue will be named Masonic Square to recognize the original location of the Plano Masonic Lodge.
