(WBAP/KLIF) — Two Texas banks will combine to become the 6th largest bank in the nation. A combined 85 bank branches in Texas are affected.
The Cadence Bank and Bankcorp South Bank merger boasts a combined $40-billion in assets. The new bank will retain the name of Cadence Bank, with the merger to be complete by late 2022.
The bank will have a nine-state footprint operating 404 branches in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
