Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – As early voting for the Nov. 2 election gets underway today, there are statewide there are 8 constitutional amendments that voters are considering, including prohibiting limits on religious services and organizations; eligibility of judicial candidates and homestead tax exemptions for surviving spouses, among others. Locally, building a new elementary school and modernizing some others are proposed plans for a 1.5-billion dollar bond issue at Fort Worth ISD. If approved by voters on November 2, other funds have been earmarked for 3 new small community-based stadiums, competition venues and field houses.

District Superintendent Dr. Kent Scribner told WFAA’s ‘Inside Texas Politics’ that town hall meetings held before the pandemic, identified the issue of concern for parents who want access to those activities closer to home. Currently Fort Worth 3 stadiums that serve 14 high schools.

The last day to register to vote is today, October 4. Early voting begins on October 18th and runs through October 29.
January 1 was the first day to apply for a ballot by mail using Application for a Ballot by Mail (ABBM) or Federal Post Card Application (FPCA).

In Tarrant County, polls are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 18, through Friday, Oct. 22; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25, through Friday, Oct. 29.
